1. Designer: Elise GABRIEL (French)
Materials: Beech and Zelfo
Dimensions: H: 57 cm - W: 43 cm - D: 23 cm
The Round and Oblong stands make use and summarize all the qualities of Zelfo : the material is cast into a thick shell, using the same process as for the “perched” lamps (of course with a thicker layer of Zelfo, in order to make it strong and opaque), whilst at the same time encasing and assembling a tripod base made of wood. The shells are covered by a wood flat top and form legged boxes or inflated tablets that can be used as stands.

“Kino Guerin is a master at bending a rigid material to get this beautiful flow and movement. It is not easy to do. These pieces look as if they are affortless, but they are technically very hard. He creates an elegance. A beautiful, lyrical flow. There is nothing common about these pieces. Kino Guerin distinguishes himself from everyone else making furniture today.”

the timber’s ends are the most sensitive areas of the timber / in order to protect and seal it, they are painted in sawmills, thus preventing the appearance of splits in the wood / these colored ends are usually removed and discarded afterwards, so the end user is not aware of them // endy stool is constructed only by these ends / it emphasizes the edges, thus preserving a hint of the origins of the wood, and celebrating these magnificent colors //

Andrianna Shamaris uses resin in furniture, teak to be more specific, as she seems to have a liking for that particular species. Her work is quiet and beautiful while seamlessly combining synthetic and organic material. She uses these two elements here in her clear cracked resin and teak cube. clear cracked resin and teak cube
